Woodbine Elementary School was recently given the opportunity to partner with the Camden County Sheriff's Office and the USS Maryland to hold a shoe drive to support children in our school. Our goal was to ensure that all WES students have appropriate footwear for school. We worked with school staff to identify students who would benefit from this program and supplied the information to the participating organizations. The organizations then asked employees and sailors to select a student and purchase the shoes with the information provided by the school. In total, we received shoes for 88 children and a few extra pairs to keep in our closet for special needs. We would like to extend a huge Thank You to all the employees from the Sheriff's Office and the Sailors from the USS Maryland in making this such a success.
