Book Blast 25

This week, Mrs. Sova’s Pre-Kindergarten class at Woodbine Elementary explored the five senses. Students engaged their sense of touch by experiencing a variety of textures, including sandpaper, bubble wrap, sand, silly string, and water. Additionally, they used all five senses during a hands-on science experiment with Pop Rocks, observing, tasting, listening, touching, and smelling the reaction.

Mrs. Wheater's 4th grade students have been studying a unit on light, heat, and electricity. Today after reviewing safety measures to use with electricity, they learned about circuits, positive and negative poles on batteries, and built their own flashlights! An electrifying time was had by all!

Safety Reminder!

School safety remains our highest priority. Families, we need your partnership in reminding and educating your children about the seriousness of making threats. What may seem like an innocent prank, or simply something said out of anger or frustration, can carry very serious consequences. Every threat, whether real or fake, demands an immediate law enforcement response, disrupts learning, and can result in life-changing legal prosecution.

We take EVERY threat seriously and will continue working closely with the St. Marys Police Department, Kingsland Police Department, and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office to ensure swift and decisive responses to all threats.

The safety of our students and staff will always be our top priority. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Protecting with Purpose,

Chief Kizzi Knight
