Carter Hickman and Emory Smith are 5th graders in Mrs. Wheater’s gifted class at Woodbine Elementary. Over the past 10 weeks, they have participated in The Stock Market Game, sponsored by the Georgia Council on Economic Education. The class learned about how the stock market works, from identifying companies that are publicly traded, to paying attention to current events to see how that effects the economy, to watching for trends to see what stocks to invest in and which ones to sell. Their team, the Kit Kats won first place in Georgia’s First Congressional District – made up of over 150 elementary teams. These boys are definitely going places!

'Tis the season for Crab Soccer!! Our WES Crawfish have been learning soccer skills in P.E. (dribbling, trapping, passing, kicking & ball control) and now get to experience a modified soccer game called: "Crab Soccer."
They're doing a great job using teamwork & sportsmanship in this new game after also learning that "winning isn't everything."⚽️👏🏻🤩

Students in Mrs. Foldy and Mrs. Price’s classes took a magical trip into the world of the Macy’s Day Parade as they dove into the pages of "Balloons Over Broadway". To cap off their festive learning, they crafted their very own balloons and strutted their stuff in a parade through the halls of WES. Talk about a fabulous way to launch the Holiday Season! 🎈✨
