Congratulations to our Students of the Month for November. These students were chosen for their excellent behavior and kindness toward others! We are so proud of you.

We love when our families join in the fun at WES! Today we hosted families for our annual Thanksgiving Lunch made by our marvelous lunchroom staff. Hop over to Facebook to see all of the photos!

Today in Mrs. Stell's 2nd grade class, we had an exciting time diving into the world of science! 🎉 We explored simple machines and learned all about how force and motion work. It's amazing to see the kids' faces light up with curiosity and excitement!

Thank you to the Knights of Columbus for their generous donation of coats for our students!

In Mrs. Stell's 2nd grade class, the kiddos are diving into the world of simple machines! So, we whipped up our very own 'machine'—a super cool ramp! The students got to work, using straws to send ping pong balls zooming up the slope like mini rocket scientists!

Students in Mrs. Davis's 5th grade ELA made personal pizzas as part of a creative writing lesson. The students are writing about their "perfect slice" of pizza, featuring vivid descriptions, sensory language, and exciting adjectives.

We are so proud of our readers! We celebrated the end of the first nine weeks with an AR party for students who met their goals. The students had a blast playing games and having a snack.

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for October! We celebrate you and your accomplishments!

Next week is our Red Ribbon Week to celebrate being Drug Free. Check out the dress up days starting with WEAR RED!

We would like to give a big THANK YOU to our community sponsors for our Fall Festival this year. We had a fabulous turn out and it is because of you that our event was a success! Thank you teachers and thank you families for participating as well.

WES has been working hard in P.E. on our PBIS expectations; being Respectful, Responsible, Safe & also Kind, while learning skills being taught. Classes earn a team football on our "Super Bowl Classes" wall if the majority are meeting expectations. At the end of each 9 weeks, their reward is a free choice day full of physical activity stations to enjoy. 😎
Guess who our Super Bowl classes are for the 1st 9 weeks!? ALL CLASSES!!! 👏🏻🎊🙌🏻 WooHoo!!
A favorite station has been...our pretend "Hay rides" (scooters). SO PROUD of ALL our students- love watching them enjoy their reward!

Earlier this week, Mrs. Jones’ 3rd Grade ELA class read Why is the Statue of Liberty Green?
Her students learned that the Statue of Liberty is made of copper and was originally the color brown. However, the Statue of Liberty is now Green due to wind, rain, and other natural elements.
Today, her student turned brown, copper pennies to the color green to match Lady Liberty.

Save the Date! November 1st will be Veteran and Military Family Appreciation Night at the Football Game. We hope to see you there!
